If you had a magic wand in your hand, what’s the first thing you’d change about your life?
The smartest thing most of us could do with it is to smack it upside our heads to change the way we think. At least, I know that’s what I would do. I’ve learned that my outward life is only a reflection of what I’m always thinking on the inside.
But that’s a difficult concept for most of us. We’ve been brainwashed to believe that we’re victims with little control over our lives. We’re not taught to use our ability to think better thoughts. The passivity this creates in us can be paralyzing. Apathy easily replaces our sense of power.
We don’t have a magic wand, of course. We have something better. We have the God-given capacity to choose better thoughts, moment by moment, to wake up to possibilities far beyond our wildest dreams. Things could be better for us, if we'd only rouse ourselves from the sleepwalking death we call our lives. Come on. Let’s wake up.
